Early Years Practitioner – Childcare Pathways
Milton Keynes
Job type: Full time 37.5 hrs a week (Possible job share)
Salary £17,500 pa, pro rata where part-time
The Christian Foundation’s Childcare Pathways enterprise is responsible for the development and delivery of:
* Childcare: Providing a range of childcare activities that encourage children’s development and address their needs, connecting these where possible to our sustainability agenda. Our under-fives provision includes crèches, Forest School, stay-and-play sessions, holiday clubs and other events for school age children.
* Training: Providing diverse childcare and parenting training for trainees and other clients.
For this post you will need an enhanced DBS check.
This purpose of this post is to:
* Run day nurseries, crèches, parent and tots groups, forest school activities and school age holiday schemes
* Work with and train young people to develop the range of skills needed to work in Early Years setting and holiday clubs.
Key requirements:
* a childcare qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* a passion for working with children, parents and families
* ability to, and experience of running crèches for children and establishing strong partnerships with parents
* experience of working with school age children
* an enthusiasm for supporting children to engage with and learn from the natural world
* Experience of Forest School
* experience of working with, supporting and training young people to achieve, particularly those who have been disengaged or who are disadvantaged, and a belief in their value and their potential
* Knowledge and ability to implement of safeguarding procedures in an Early Years setting
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and requirements set out by Ofsted relevant to Early Years provision
