EAL Teaching Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity for an EAL Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary School based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes (North West area) for an immediate start.
This role involves working with Afgan Children in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who have recently gained a school place at this particular secondary school. You will be a huge support role in their settlement into the UK education system, supporting them with their language development, literacy and numeracy knowledge and development and basic understanding of the curriculum.
The EAL Teaching Assistant will be responsible for a full-time contract commited from January 2022 until at least February Half Term, with the view to extend if possible. The School is an inclusive comprehensive school with approximately 1100 students with access to excellent sporting facilities, a broad and balanced curriculum with a range of options to choose in key stage 4 and good quality staff. The most important benefit for our students is the excellent pastoral system which means that all students are known, and no one becomes just a number.
The school is situated in the North West Borough of Milton Keynes, no more than a 10 minute drive from the Centre of Milton Keynes and 30 minute drive from Northampton. This school is easily commutable from the A422 and the A5.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
