They are looking to recruit an experienced Digital Development Editor to join their Learner & Discovery Services department, starting asap for 6 months, working full time and paying £17.57ph. This role will work from home initially and equipment will be supplied.

About the role;

To provide development and pedagogic editing of learning materials in a wide range of digital media and within agreed principles of technology-enhanced learning.

To support technology-enhanced learning design activity and the production of high quality learning materials to time, budget and agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities;

To read and feedback on early drafts of learning and teaching materials, advising and supporting authors, module teams and other partners on how to prepare content so that it is suitable for development and production, and is consistent with agreed high level design and overall pedagogic principles.

To provide structural and pedagogic editing of content and effective integration of assets to ensure that learning materials and other products are clear, readable, engaging and effective.

Ideally you will have;

Experience in editing, development and production of publications (either on-line or in print).
Experience in educational publishing or learning media development.
Understanding of open and distance learning principles and pedagogy.You will need to have the ability to work on many IT systems, be comfortable managing your own workload and being part of a team.
