Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: Up to £26K per annum, DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent

We are now recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to support our Nursery Manager in providing professional leadership, management of the nursery and its staff.
About the Deputy Nursery Manager role:
As our Deputy Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for supervising, leading, supporting and inspiring your team members within the nursery and coordinating and supporting your team.
In addition to this you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring the well-being of children at all times.
* Being vigilant and proactive in your approach to Safeguarding and adhering to Safeguarding policy and procedures.
* Formulating and operating a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area.
* Ensuring Key Person systems are in place and parents know who is responsible for the main care and development of their children.
* Supporting all staff and managing your team consistently and fairly.
* Liaising with and supporting parents and other family members.
* Undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery as and when required.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
* A relevant and full childcare qualification to a minimum of Level 4.
* A minimum of 5 years’ management experience within an early year setting.
* The ability to communicate and engage effectively with children, families, carers and colleagues.
