Bletchley Park, a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Learning Officer to research, develop, pilot, and deliver a new onsite, outreach and virtual cyber learning programme for Bletchley Park, with flexible activities and resources aimed at children, young people, and adults.

As a Cyber Learning Officer at Bletchley Park, your responsibilities will include: 

Researching and developing a face-to-face and online outreach cyber learning programme that develops awareness and skills in security, safety, and ethics, and addresses the industry security skills shortage by highlighting opportunities for careers in this sector.
Working with target audience groups (including local schools and community groups) and subject matter experts (including Bletchley Park’s historians) to shape activities and resources that are factually accurate, relevant, responsive, and appropriately challenging.
Leading on programme piloting and delivery, training and scheduling Volunteers and Learning Session Leaders as appropriate to assist in delivery.
Delivering research into the teaching of ethics in schools and the curriculum, and an evaluation of the project, to support teacher professional development and advance the teaching of subject areas relevant to cyber security.
Identifying existing government and other initiatives, as well as education organisations with shared values and visions, and identify opportunities to align or work in partnership with these to enhance the programme and its reach.
Developing excellent long-term relationships with schools, community groups and educational organisations, and work with the Communications team to promote the programme, aiming to engage over 6000 students per annum.
Planning and monitoring project progress, programme, and budget, preparing regular project plans, progress reports, and updates as required.
Acting as the principal point of contact and liaison for the programme, and work with the Bookings team to schedule programme bookings.
Undertaking other duties and work on cross-curricular projects as required to support the work of the Programmes Department, or as may be required from time to time by the Trust, that are appropriate to the grade of the post.
Being committed to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), keeping up-to date, and meeting any annual requirement for CPD required of you professionally.
At Bletchley Park, we are looking for a Cyber Learning Officer who has the following skills and experiences:

Degree in mathematics, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable ability and interest in mathematics or computing.
Teaching qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Experience of teaching in schools and/or facilitating museum/heritage-based activities for primary and secondary aged students in formal and informal education settings.
Knowledge and understanding of current issues around cyber security, safety and ethics, and their teaching.
Knowledge and experience of effectively evaluating projects, activities, and resources.
An empathy with Bletchley Park Trust’s mission and an interest in its World War 2 history
Ability to travel regularly for outreach visits across England, and to transport any resources required for outreach sessions. Please describe in your application how you would achieve this requirement.

Excellent teaching skills with an imaginative approach to engaging learners of all ages and knowledge and understanding of the education sector, curriculum content and learning styles.
Strong project and time management skills including project planning, budget management, reporting and task management.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with an enthusiastic and courteous approach to working with diverse audiences, including groups with special educational needs.
Strong organisational skills, with a confident and proactive approach and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks whilst ensuring deadlines are met.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team. 
Excellent digital and IT skills including Microsoft Office.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week with some out-of-hours work required. This will be recompensed by time in lieu. 

In return, the Learning Officer will receive a salary of £27,000 per annum plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), a company pension scheme and a BUPA wellbeing cash plan.
