Cover Supervisors are high in demand at Milton Keynes Secondary Schools
Cover Supervisors are the perfect first step for Graduates to enter working in Education at a Secondary School. This is a classroom based, forward-facing role where you will be interacting with students age 11 – 18 years old and supporting their confidence and academic acheivements as young adults. Applications from experienced TA's looking for the next step are also in demand.
What is a Cover Supervisor?
A Cover Supervisor would become part of the Cover Team in the Secondary School. You would be an integral part of the school staff and provide a wide range of support across the School by covering lessons in absence of their class teacher. No day is the same, as you could potentially have different lessons and meeting new students in various year groups every day. You would build strong relationships with the pupils and support their engagement in learning.
What Contracts are available?
We have a range of different Contracts available for Cover Supervisors. From Full-Time and Long-term contracts available, to Flexible day to day work, where you can work different days per week around your availability. We are happy to discuss these with you over the phone.
What do I need to be a Cover Supervisor?
Essentially, not too much! Our minimum requirements for a Cover Supervisor is successful obtainment of English and Maths GCSE (Grade C or above) with some experience working with children. Cover Supervisors with Degree Level or above Qualifications are usually very successful in this role, and previous experience working with children or young people is desired but not essential.
What is the pay like?
You can expect between £75-£80 per day to work 8:30am-4pm (weekly pay). This is equivalent to £1,600 per month and £20,000 per year (before tax). This is the starting pay and there is lots of opportunity to progress and increase your earnings!

When can I start?
The start date to work with Teaching Personnel is completely flexible. Cover Supervisors can enter their new role mid term or at the start of a new term. We would be happy to hear from you now if you are seeking work immediately or from February Half Term.
