A fast-growing organisation in Milton Keynes, at the forefront of technology, are seeking an analytically focused Financial Modeller to support them as they embark on a period of significant growth. Reporting into the CFO, this is a newly created role, supporting all business functions in understanding performance and driving better commercial decision making.

This opportunity will be ideal for somebody who has a background in either construction, or a project related field with expertise around operational profitability, investment appraisal and building/executing/developing financial models.

You will:

Support & improve the Planning & Forecasting Model, as well as providing ad hoc analysis to support the board in reviewing new business opportunities.
Report accurate financial results to business function owners ensuring the story behind the numbers is fully understood, and providing solutions/recommendations to improve performance.
Developing a new, bespoke model for departmental cost centres, as well as variance reporting.
Utilising existing and develop new relevant KPIs for business reporting.

Experience Required:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified with the experience outlined above.
A background within a commercial environment, perhaps within construction or a projects-based arena.
Strong Excel & Modelling skills, and a good understanding of tools such as Power BI.
Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders across a business.

As a guide, the business is offering a salary of anywhere from £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (although more important to them than setting a 'fixed salary banding' is finding the right person), plus a bonus and benefits
