ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a Clinical Nurse Trainer to ensure best practice for nursing staff is always maintained. You will be required to facilitate robust clinical induction and training programs whilst maintaining a focus on the future development and upskilling our nursing teams based at both Milton Keynes and Peterborough.
AIMS OF POSITION
* Deliver training that is evidence based and follows best practice.
* Responsive to the staff and resident need in relation to clinical practice.
* Delivery of a diverse set of training skills and competencies to meet the resident need. (e.g., PEG, Tissue viability, epilepsy, end of life and emergency care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver Clinical Training to Clinical staff.
* Supporting, engaging, and overseeing the delivery of clinical competencies.
* Responsibility for the specialist training to fill the knowledge gaps of the staff to meet the changing needs of the resident population.
* All staff employed by PJ Care are individually responsible and expected to safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of all individuals who access PJ Care services to ensure everyone is protected from actual or potential harm.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
* Registered nurse with a diverse experience of working and training clinical staff with all or some of the areas listed; (PEG, Tissue Viability, Epilepsy, End of Life, Emergency Care, Catheterisation and Venepuncture)
* Experience supporting some of, not necessarily all, our resident population with a desire to learn for areas: (e.g., Autonomic Dysreflexia, Huntington’s Disease, Pick’s disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Traumatic Acquired Brain injuries and range of other conditions)
* Teaching, mentoring, supervision experience
* Excellent interpersonal skills
