Child Development – Learning Support – Milton Keynes – Autism and Severe Learning Challenges – LSA role to begin immediately in March 2022 – Ideal for an aspiring Child Development Psychologist
Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:00pm – immediate start, through to at least, July 19th 2022, with the desired option of a permanent contract for September 2022.
All Education and Training provided – Working with children aged 7-17, with a Nursery to KS2 level of cognitive ability. If you have a caring nature and want to be part of a vibrant, empathetic team and school, this role could really appeal to you.
We are looking for a graduate or non-graduate with good instincts for Nursery and early years aged children. This LSA role involves working within personal care with students who are incredibly lively, all from different backgrounds and cultures. An interest in Occupational therapy or Physiotherapy is an advantage but not essential.
This LSA role will in a specialist Autistic school for children 7-17, the school caters for a range of Autism, Complex Social Needs and academic ability. This role is situated with children who's Autism leads to severe Learning challenges, some will also have physical disabilities.
Can you make the student's life just that little bit better today, keep them safe and demonstrate the value of an education to the students? In addition, can you keep the children safe? You will get a great deal of SEN and safeguarding training, MAPA Training included.
As an aspiring OT or Speech and Language Therapist, over the course of 10 years of qualification and solidifying of interest, you need to qualify and disqualify areas of genuine interest and where your skills need to be enhanced. .

**7-17 EYFS, Primary, and Secondary aged students all with EHCPs for their Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, OCD, verbal and non-verbal children
**be prepared for Personal care in this role due to the needs of the students, aged 7-17, male and female students.
**Physical work combined with being pragmatic, making as much academic progress as each child's context allows
**Number of Therapies introduced and holistic processes, a little progress is a cause for success here
** Pathological Demand Avoidance and Pervasive developmental disorder
**A Real focus on Early Years and Non-Verbal students, holistic techniques to gain engagement
**Secondary aged students with levels of learning well below their stated age
**Positive engagement, giving the children a sense of acceptance, talking therapy will not always work here so different approaches required
It is vital you are sincere about your objectives and know why you want to work in the SEN and mental health sector and provide the best possible foundations for vulnerable students who have suffered several traumas and have been tragically let down by the adult world. These roles are not easy and it takes months, years to build foundations with vulnerable students and young learners.
