St Michael’s Catholic School are now recruiting for a Chaplaincy Assistant in Aylesbury.
St Michael’s Catholic School requires its Lay Chaplain to take a lead role within the Aylesbury campus to promote Gospel values and, in doing so, to enhance the caring Catholic community. You will establish productive working relationships with pupils and staff, acting as a positive role model and to support the personal welfare of all members of the school community. You will encourage students on their faith journey through regular liturgies, Masses and other activities
You will work closely with the Lead Practitioner in RE and the Aylesbury RE subject lead, as well as the SLT, to uphold the Catholic ethos which aims to develop the ‘whole person’ and ensure student wellbeing is held in high regard.
You will also be required to ensure that promoting the Catholicity of the school serves as a central component of his/her work, by encouraging students actively to be engaged in contributing to, evaluating and constantly improving their religious education experiences and the opportunities the school offers for promoting spiritual development.
You will need the following;
To be a Practising Catholic
Experience of working with young people
To have an understanding of Catholic Ethos

Hours: 39 weeks per year hours to be negotiated
Salary: Bucks Pay range 3 £22,690 – £24,540 FTE
