Centre Manager
£28k – £30k per annum – Full time role.

We are the Leading Independent Assessment Centre in the UK, offering access to a wide range of assessments that are normally out of reach to Private and Home Educated Candidates in a safe, calm and welcoming environment in our centres located across the UK.
This is not your normal Exam Centre Manager’s Role…
Working hours: 8:30 – 4:30 Mon – Fri (flexible during exam times) full time.
The Centre Manager is responsible for:
* Ensuring the centre is running in accordance with current Awarding Organisation regulations.
* Administering and organising public assessments, on behalf of Private Candidates, in line with current Awarding Organisation rules and national regulations.
* Prioritising workloads whilst delivering excellent customer service to candidates via email and telephone
* Line Manager responsibilities for the Exams Manager and a bank of invigilators
* Proactively seek feedback and resolve customers complaints at first point of contact
* Have a presence within the local neighbourhood to promote our service and source alternative venues for hosting large volumes of exams on our busiest days
* Invoicing, room booking, staff schedules
* Ad hoc duties as and when required by the business
This will involve a high level of customer focus and planning skills.
There will be some physical work required to set up rooms in readiness for examinations (moving desks and chairs). This will be discussed during interview.
Attributes desired but not essential:
* Experience within a busy exams environment is preferred. However, it is not entirely essential providing other related experiences can be demonstrated (planning, logistics, scheduling).
* A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and MIS systems is highly desirable.
* Good general standard of A Level or equivalent standard education with qualifications to at least GCSE Level Grade C or 4 standard
* Excellent customer service skills, face to face, via email and telephone
* Knowledge or understanding of education systems
* Good communication and interpersonal skills – ability to work in a team and independently
* Knowledge of P&L and budgeting will be useful
* Smart appearance
* Ability to adapt quickly to different situations
