Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Research & Enterprise Manager to join their STEM Research team. This role is to start asap until 30th September 2022, working 37hrs a week. This role is working from home and equipment will be supplied. The hourly rate is £17.83 – £19.47ph which equates to £33,797 – £37,467pa dependent on experience.
The Research Manager will support a number of externally and internally funded research projects.
Duties:
Identifying and communicating relevant funding opportunities to colleagues and academics in the Faculty.
Advising colleagues and academics on funder eligibility criteria, terms and conditions, and submission procedures, and University and Faculty approval processes prior to submission.
Assisting colleagues and academics with the preparation of proposal budgets including costing and pricing within funder and University requirements, monitoring and highlighting project cost recovery to colleagues for approval.
Requesting, monitoring, and confirming institutional approval for external funding bids.
Supporting the management of grant budgets and resources: providing information on income and expenditure and working with colleagues to ensure that budget forecasts and outturn statements are prepared in line with University requirements.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a financial role, supporting bids and tenders
Competent using Excel to an intermediate level
Able to set up project meetings in MS Office and lead those meetings as appropriateThe client promotes diversity in employment and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
