Behaviour Support Assistant
Are you looking for a new role supporting vulnerable children in an alternate school setting?
Do you have previous experience within a SEN school, youth work or care background?
Due to high demand, Dunbar Education is currently looking for a SEN teaching assistant to join a friendly and supportive team at a pupil referral unit in Milton Keynes.
As a successful teaching assistant, you will be working in reduced class sizes across primary and secondary years. Your role will be to provide both 1:1 and classroom support to keep pupils engaged in their learning as well as being able to build a strong rapport and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
Ideally, you will be Team Teach or MAPPA trained however this is not essential.
You will have resilience and experience of working with severe behaviour difficulties which can be both verbally and physically challenging.
