LSA role for an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist Milton Keynes – Education and Training – Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist Milton Keynes – June 7th start and September 2021 long term LSA positions

The School

***Specialist Autistic school for students with Autism, OCD, ADHD, SEMH and Complex Social Needs

***Personalised curriculum for each student, Applied Behaviour Analysis and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy used

***Verbal, Non – Verbal students, all positive encouragement is used, no punitive measures

***Learning about nutrition in relation to SPLCN

***Holistic, Therapeutic and Restorative Processes used, de-escalation techniques are key

***49 students, 7-17, a personalised curriculum for each student – cognitive ability will be incredibly diverse across the school

***Students will either live at home with parents/guardians or be in residential/foster care

***Very diverse range of students and families

***Focus on GSCE & A levels subjects, BTEC, AQA, building a curriculum that works for the children. Focus on College and continued education or Supported Living

***Focus on trauma and positive re-enforcement

The role is to begin immediately or looking ahead to September 2021, trials and interviews taking place in June and July, ready for September.

Behaviour is only one aspect of this role, it is imperative that you have the academic skill to be able to raise academic attainment across a number of areas. EYFS Curriculum, Primary and Secondary curriculums – Computing, Hairdressing, PE and the Performative Arts are all incredibly important here, holistic and applied behaviour analysis is key in this school
