The Role

We are working with a Secondary Academy located in Buckinghamshire that are looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant to join them in September 2021 on a permanent basis. The school will require you to support a small group of pupils who are all on the autistic spectrum and aged between 11 – 18 years of age. You will also be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis when required. Experience working with other complex needs would desirable.

About You

• To build and maintain supportive relationships with students, treating all individuals consistently and with respect and consideration. To encourage acceptance and inclusion of all students.
• To work effectively as a member of the SEN Team
• To assist individuals and groups of students in developing knowledge, skills and attitudes as defined by the Curriculum. To take into account the learning support involved to aid the children to learn as effectively as possible.
• To prepare, use and maintain relevant teaching resources for use in small groups and by class teachers as required.

Have SEN experience within education preferably a Secondary School setting
