Job Summary
We are looking for an organized and self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our High Wycombe branch on a 13.00 to 22.00 shift. Ideally you will possess a proven track record in Warehousing/Logistics. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will help supervise and oversee the warehouse operation in its entirety. The ideal candidate must be able to think on their feet, be focused on meeting quotas, and possess strong people management skills. This role would suit an individual who is looking to grow and develop with a forward-thinking company.
Warehouse Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure all operations are conducted in line with standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
* Maintain stock accuracy in line with our internal KPI’s.
* Ensure a proactive approach is taken to Warehouse replenishment and maintaining healthy stock levels.
* Proficient in the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and stock related functions.
* Encourage and motivate all direct reports to maximise engagement and productivity.
* Support the Management team in creating a culture of ‘unrivalled customer service’ and best in class service levels.
* Compile end of shift reports for site Management.
* Ensure compliance with all site HSEQ rules and regulations including the completion of weekly statutory H&S checks.
* Overseeing operational inductions and training as required, ensuring new starters are closely monitored and strong levels of service are maintained.
* Supervising both the fittings and tube Warehouse ensuring the pick, pack and despatch operation is completed in its entirety and in accordance with internal procedures.
* Oversee loading operations ensuring vehicles are loaded in a safe and logical manner.
* Oversee the goods in operation liaising closely with our Progress Department ensuring the Warehouse is supporting a best-in-class service for balance management.
* Conduct returns to works (RTW’s) for warehouse personnel as required.
* Stand in for the Warehouse Manager in their absence.
The person
* Computer and phone literate.
* A proven track record as a Warehouse Supervisor is essential.
* Competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
* Exceptional people person who can engage with the team, motivate, and inspire.
* Culturally aware. The successful candidate would need to demonstrate that they share the values of our business.
* Enthusiastic, driven, proactive and focused.
* Persuasive operator with excellent influencing skills.
* An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop, maintain and exploit strong internal and excellent external relationships at all levels.
* Able to work in a busy environment whilst remaining calm and keeping a positive attitude.
* The ability to work with minimal supervision.
* A fast learner, capable of following procedures with a key eye for detail
