Our client has a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative to join their team. This is a permanent role with the hours Monday to Friday, 9..30am to 5.30pm.
You will ensure that the goods both delivered to the Company and dispatched from the
company are dealt with in accordance to the Company’s logistics policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To carry out the day to day tasks of all the warehouse functions
* To carry out all warehouse tasks in an accurate and timely manner
* To maintain a high standard of house keeping, compliance with health & safety and security procedures at all times
* To assist the logistics manager in the continual improvement of the warehouse lay out and processes
* To liaise with both internal and external customers when issues or opportunities arise
* To represent the department in a professional manner at all times
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required
* Undertake any special protects that may be required
* To prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities
* Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
* Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
* Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
* To provide customers both internal and external with a high standard of customer service
Requirements:
* To be computer literate and able/willing to learn all systems and processes as required
* To be able to work well in a team and also under own initiative
* To be physically able to undertake all general warehouse duties, Goods Rec, Picking, Despatch, stock control, Export etc.
* To be punctual and reliable
* Have a strong work ethic
* To be accurate on all tasks required
* The ability to learn quickly
* To deliver to tight deadlines
