Title: Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Full time position starting with Initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract circ. £(phone number removed) negotiable plus package
An excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse operations manager/General Manager to oversee the decommissioning of an existing warehouse operation and take charge of opening a new 70,000 sq ft site for fmcg products. This will include designing the warehouse layout, space optimisation, racking, staffing, returns, inbound, picking etc and all associated logistics.
You will be working for an exciting growing brand in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Owning the initial set up of the new site operation providing a seamless transition from the previous operation
* Decommissioning the old site
* Manage a growing operational team of up to 50, ensuring effective and efficient day to day
operations, built upon clear processes that are adhered to and then build upon.
* Planning for all day-to-day warehouse operations including stock control, warehouse administration, goods in, despatch, returns etc
* Ensure the organisation of the operational function in the warehouse is clear and roles are fulfilled by a motivated and high calibre team
* Coach & develop direct reports with associated personal development plans. Drive a culture of communication, commitment to excellence & of continuous improvement.
Experience
* Hands on Experience in setting up a brand-new warehouse and experience in retail or FMCG distribution environment
* Experienced in warehouse planning for space optimisation, racking, staffing, stock, returns etc
* Good sound experienced management and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – verbal and written
* Excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities
* IT Skills: including Warehouse Management (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
Outlook, etc.)
