Are you looking for a solid, stable driving role?

Our client, a growing home delivery company is seeking experienced Drivers and Driver's Mates (who will qualify quickly as Drivers)

Reporting to the depot in Milton Keynes, you will be part of a two-man team to carry out deliveries to customer sites.

Please note: This is a long-distance driving role, not a multi-drop.
You'll start as a Drivers Mate – £9.50 per hour and move up to drivers rate once trained £10.25  – Temp to perm after 12 weeks with an uplift in salary once permanent.

Full uniform provided. 

Your responsibilities will include:

Safe and secure loading of deliveries and onward delivery to the customer's premises 
Ensuring road traffic and vehicle legislation and company procedures are followed
Safe delivery and unpackaging of goods in customer homes – Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction You must be well presented, have great communication skills, take pride in your work and above all really care about the customer and their delivery experience.

Working week – Monday – Friday.
Flexibility is essential as start times vary – They can be as early as 4 am, but a typical start is 5 am-5.30 am. The role is based on a 45-hour working week.

The successful candidate will require a full driving license with a maximum of 3 points. For insurance purposes, you must be aged 25 or over. You must also be willing to undertake a CRB check. You'll have to be physically fit – as the role does involve heavy lifting.

OVERNIGHT STAYS are sometimes required – at the moment 1 per month – this could increase to 2 per month. Accommodation is paid for, and you'll receive an extra £40 on top of your wages for each overnight stay.

After a successful probationary period, you will be promoted to a driver you will be offered the chance to join as a permanent member of staff, with a great basic salary and the opportunity to earn overtime.
