A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Milton Keynes depot. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained.

As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You will ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT'd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues that arise during a route.

The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked with Transport Software.

The role will be based in their Milton Keynes Depot and the working hours will be Monday – Friday; flexibility will be required but will always be based on day shifts. Start times between 6am-9am; the shifts will be 10 hours with a one hour unpaid lunch equating to a 45 hour working week. On offer is a salary of £24,000 – £28,000 per annum.
