We’re looking for a Senior Transport Shift Manager to lead our night shift on a full time, permanent basis in Aylesbury. You’ll work across Monday to Friday with a flexible start time between 1800 and 2200 for an 8-hour shift. We will need to be flexible to cover the holidays within the team who operate 4 on 4 off.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

* Lead investigations into any accidents or incidents and make recommendations to avoid recurrence, actioning and managing disciplinary processes where necessary

* You’ll oversee and support the team, working with 60 units, 70+ trailers and 120 drivers

* Maintain vehicle files, maintaining servicing and maintenance schedules, ensuring we operate within legal compliance

What you need to succeed at XPO:

* Transport management CPC (this is a must)

* A proven track record at the management level within a complex, fast-paced transport function

* Customer-facing experience and knowledge of Tachomaster and telematics
