Quality Assurance Controller – £28,000- £32,000 pa – Tongwell, Milton Keynes
The Role
Do you have good analytical and data interpretation skills? Have you previously worked within a packaging or manufacturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a leading eCommerce packaging supplier, looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Controller to manage and inspect incoming and outgoing stock, maintain and log records and other necessary data. Reviewing KPI’s and logging and tracking data will also be a requirement of the role.
The successful candidate will be required to work 7.30-16.30 Monday to Friday with a 30-minute paid break. Additional hours and/ or weekends may be required during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Controller include, but are not limited to:
Conduct quality checks and inspection of all Incoming Stock, and log on the system.
Conduct Outgoing Stock Inspection, and log on the system.
Manage and inspect Returns Categorisation, and feedback results.
Construct a database of quality specifications for all common products.
Testing and assessment of stock where required using standard test methodology and equipment.
Monitor and maintain Quality Control stock records.
Ensure all QC related queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
Maintain records of supplier’s conformance to agreed quality levels.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Quality Assurance Controller are:
Previous experience from a similar industry essential.
Knowledge of print processes an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence to motivate and work to your own ability.
Ability to work to strict deadlines, and change of deadlines when required, as well as, manage the expectation both ways.
Strong negotiation, facilitation and networking skills.
Good analytical and data interpretation skills, including the ability to review and interpret data in a concise manner.
Adaptable.
Proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
