Purchasing/Stock Controller
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Purchasing/Stock Controller based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will earn £24,000 – £28,000 depending on experience. Hours of work are 8:30am-5:15pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am-1pm Friday.
The main purpose of this role is to provide stock and purchasing function whilst offering sales support to enable the services operate in a smooth and efficient manner. You will be part of a small team in a modern open plan environment, responsible for all purchasing and stock functions, along with sales admin/support. This is a varied and interesting role and key to the company’s success.
An immediate start is available for this role.

Role Responsibilities
Stock/Purchasing:
Being solely responsible for inventory management, ensuring stock is purchased as required and controlling all aspects of consignment stock at customers (invoicing and replacing).
Booking in and booking out stock and producing invoices daily.
Updating Access Dimensions (ERP) with price increases as and when they occur.
Liaising with Hannover (German HQ and supplier) and dealing with returns as and when, issuing credit notes to customers when applicable.
Assisting Finance Controller with any stock queries at Month End.
Assisting Finance Controller with a stock take.
Assisting with any Ad-hoc reports produced in Excel via Access Dimensions.
Stock Adjustments on the system as and when required, raising error reports to send to 3rd party warehouse partner and German HQ (stock discrepancies).
Creating new product parts on system with cost and sales prices.
Provide, as directed, any other information/reports required.
Sending stock orders via EDI to External Warehouse.
Sales Support:
Processing customer orders, providing sample orders for testing/trials for new/existing customers.
Taking phone calls and providing support for the sales admin team and liaising with Area Sales Managers as and when required.
Providing quotations to new and existing customers via Area Sales Managers.
Providing regular reports such as daily intake sales figures to MD/sales office etc.
Maintain customer filing and processing customer complaints, liaising with HQ to resolve and offer solutions.
Company
Our client is the UK subsidiary of a German plc selling a wide variety of Abrasive products through distributors and direct to end users.
The stock is manufactured in Germany and supplied from a third-party UK warehouse.
