We are currently working in partnership with a high profile government sponsored national project in the Milton Keynes area. They are seeking a Logistics and Procurement Coordinator.
This is a pivotal role, focusing on two key areas of their supply and demand function. You will manage the delivery schedule of consumables and goods delivered and shipped on-site. You will work closely with the procurement team and suppliers to manage delivery times, providing the warehouse with the information needed to plan the daily rostering of warehouse operatives. You will also liaise within the business and procurement teams regarding the supply and management of consumables. You will monitor daily stock levels, performing regular stock audits that are essential for the accuracy of agreed min/max levels.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Liaise with Royal Mail (RM) and Deloitte to disseminate consumable numbers, delivery times and frequency. Communicate with RM and Deloitte all discrepancies and delivery issues as they arise.
* Co-ordinate the goods-in and shipments utilising the Smart Sheet capture log to ensure accurate movement records are being maintained.
* Liaise with Suppliers and coordinate deliveries to and from off-site 3PL Warehouses.
* Provide an efficient and courteous first point of contact for all couriers and communicate with the various distribution networks to anticipated delivery requirements and schedule timings to ensure available resources (Manpower/MHE) are internally communicated with Warehouse and various teams
* Liaise with the supervisors to establish daily consumable stock requirements and review current stock held.
* Perform daily stock check to ensure the accuracy and type of consumable required including any viable alternatives that will be subject to resupply and provisioning
* To contribute in a flexible manner to promote best practice and continuous improvement to enhance the overall performance of the Warehouse and Procurement processes
* Finalise receipted Purchase Orders onto SAGE
* Supervise and support the Warehouse Administration Assistant to ensure the accuracy of accounting procedures and control of Purchase Order records.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* Applicants must be computer literate with intermediate levels of experience using the following: Excel, Word, PowerPoint to generate business reports and presentations
* Experience of using an electronic WMS for stock control systems/database management
* Experience of working in the Logistics Environment, knowledgeable in Goods-in / Goods-out, Warehouse Administrator operations and stock procurement.
* Experience in conducting On-the-Job Training and staff familiarisation training records
