The Inventory Manager is responsible for supply and stock planning for a range of SKU/products, while focusing on service excellence and managing a small number of high profile customers and suppliers.
The individual will be required to maintain stock levels to ensure availability, and to purchase goods as required at the most beneficial market rate. You will also need to ensure replenishments arrive on schedule, and to communicate availability information across the Company, and potentially direct to customer.
Inventory Manager Responsibilities:
Review items to order (using Slim4 & Order-wise).
Secure competitive quotes as required, including reviewing alternative suppliers to maintain competitive supply.
Check Purchase Orders are on schedule, and keep ERP updated with any change of delivery dates, communicating changes as required.
Place orders as necessary keeping stock level to within Min/Max levels and reducing cost price whenever possible.
Shortage reporting.
Provide excellent communication and service to the sales team with timely provision of samples as required.
Attend and contribute to the Purchasing team meeting.
Attend marketing meetings and assist with the implementation of Carlton company policies.
Inventory Manager Requirements:

Microsoft Excel
A Level educated minimum
Proven experience in demand and/or supply planning
Some purchasing experience preferred, ideally within Packaging
Relationship management skills (supplier and/or customer)

Location: Tongwell, Milton Keynes
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30-4:30pm with a paid break of 30 minutes
