We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are market leaders in the design and manufacture of high-performance optical fiber networks

The Role:

The Expeditor organises deliveries of goods from internal and external Suppliers located globally to either our own warehouses or the end user.

This is a challenging role that require the person to work extremely closely to our freight forwarders and couriers partners so that goods are shipped in the most efficient way to minimise transit time whilst minimising the carriage costs to the business.

We are looking for an energised, can do attitude candidate that will be resourceful and innovative in reviewing all possibilities to achieve speedy deliveries whilst keeping logistics costs as low as possible.

The person will need to have impeccable communication skills to ensure all internal and external parties are aware of the transportation arrangements made in a timely manner. Flexibility is also paramount as it is not unusual for demand in terms of time or place of deliveries to change from one day to the next.

This is a key role within the Purchasing Team reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.

Requirements

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in Expediting, Supply Chain or Procurement

* Minimum 2 years’ Far East shipping experience

* Understanding of International Shipping Methods by Air and Sea and relevant regulations

* Understanding of Inco terms
