Our client a growing home delivery company are seeking experienced Drivers Mates who will qualify quickly within two man teams as Drivers

Reporting to the depot based in Kingston, MK17 you will be part of a two man team, working with a Driver to carry out deliveries to customer sites, this position will put you at the forefront of exceptional customer service.

This is a long distance driving role, not multi drop.
You'll start as a Drivers Mate – £9.50 per hour – Temp to perm after 12 weeks.
Full uniform provided.

Working with a Driver your responsibilities will include:
Safe and secure loading of deliveries and onward delivery to the customers premises.
Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
Ensuring road traffic and vehicle legislation and company procedures are followed,
Safe delivery and unpackaging of goods in customer homes.
You must be well presented, have great communication skills, take pride in your work and above all really care about the customer and their delivery experience.

Working week – Monday – Friday.
Flexibility is essential as start times vary – They can be as early as 4am, but a typical start is 5am-5.30am. The role is based on a 45 hour working week.

The successful candidate will require a Full driving licence with a maximum of 3 points.
For insurance purposes you must be aged 25 or over.
You must also be willing to undertake a CRB check
You'll have to be physically fit – as the role does involved heavy lifting.

OVERNIGH STAYS are sometimes required – at the moment 1 per month – this could increase to 2 per month.
Accommodation is paid for, and you'll receive an extra £40 on top of your wages for each overnight stay.

This role does offer progression – After a successful probationary period you will be promoted to driver – Salary will increase to £10.25 and you will be offered the chance to join as a permanent member of staff, with a great basic salary and the opportunity to earn overtime.
