Tradeslink Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join one of the UK's leading suppliers of hazardous equipment for sale and hire.

As delivery driver you will be responsible for the efficient delivery and collection of goods, service and hire orders across the South of England, ensuring deliveries are punctual, all paperwork and documentation is up to date and accurate and any hire equipment damages are identified promptly.

You will be covering the whole of the South of England with occasional journeys as far North as Leeds, but mainly London and Home Counties, and some trips to the West Country. Every day is different, no two days are the same!

Duties: (list not exhaustive)

* You will be responsible for safe and courteous driving, vehicle maintenance, loading restrictions and planning routes efficiently. Also be responsible for providing excellent customer service.

* Arranging the most efficient logistical deliveries and collections possible to customers and other branches

* Remain compliant with relevant tachograph drive times and legal requirements where required

* Ensure all paperwork and system updates (driver app) are up to date and accurate

* Loading and unloading at both customer sites and back at branch

* Ensure all hire equipment is inspected and any damage recorded and photographed at time of collection

* Ensure all collections are compliant with asbestos regulations and deviations are flagged to line manager promptly

* Occasionally assist in warehouse loading, picking orders and putting stock away as and when required

Experience / Qualifications:

* Full UK driving licence, with B&E

* Digital tachograph & tachograph experience (preferred but not essential)

* Towing qualification / experience essential

* Able to drive a 3.5 Tonne van

* Health & Safety awareness

* Ability to work under pressure and handle issues that arise in a calm manner

* Forklift qualified (preferred but not essential)

* Self-motivated but also willing to work as part of a team

* Strong customer focus with a hands on approach and a “can do” attitude
