Our client is seeking an exceptional General Manager who has run large scale warehouse operations to drive their newly expanded, complex & fast moving distribution centre forwards.

This is an exciting project to be part of and inevitably you will relish the challenge of establishing the site at the heart of an already busy UK network.

Reporting into the main board, you will take full accountability for the success of the operation.

The role of General Manager:

* Provide direction to the Senior Management team within this fast moving, complex operation.

* Take full day to day responsibility for a large team of managers & operatives through peak & beyond

* Set & manage challenging KPI’s

* Manage the P&L

* Implement Process and Procedure, in accordance with operational best practice

* Maintain a proactive approach towards all H&S orientated issues and always endeavour to improve and maintain a positive health & safety culture.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Previous experience of managing sizeable teams within a large scale warehouse operations

* Proven track record of delivering commercial and operational results

* Able to demonstrate an excellent ability to monitor and control costs & maximize operational efficiency

* A leader, who is able to support and engage their team, offering coaching and motivation to others

* Excellent Communication skills with a passion, will and desire to succeed.
