I am looking for an experienced Depot Manager for a company within the building sector based in Aylesbury (Hertfordshire)

The role will involve but is not limited to:

* Managing a team of depot operatives inclusive of drivers, engineers, workshop staff and an occasional sales team member

* Ensuring the yard is organised, working effectively and efficiently at all times

* Ensuring all H&S practises are trained and maintained by staff members

* Ensuring the standard of vehicles and machinery is kept at a high standard at all times

* The management of the storage, loading and despatch spaces and equipment

* Assessing any losses and damages accordingly

* Stock control and management

* Liaising with team members and managing staff expenditure

* Conducting any relevant training

The ideal candidate must be able to show experience within a man management position, ideally within a depot, warehouse or operational site function, and have the following experiences as a minimum:

* Motivate and manage staff for a minimum of 2 years

* Ability to communicate across all levels of the business

* Strong IT skills, especially with Microsoft Word & Excel

* The ability to work within a fast paced and highly challenging environment

* An IOSH qualification would be a distinct advantage

* Must be able to read and interpret technical CAD & Engineering drawings

In return the client are offering a competitive salary of £28,000 – £32,000 depending upon experience with a year performance bonus of up to £5000.
