Compliance Manager – £50,000 – £55,000 pa – Tongwell, Milton Keynes
Do you have demonstrative experience of compliance risk management and/ or quality assurance, coupled with previous experience managing health and safety for buildings and staff? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
We are a leading eCommerce packaging supplier, looking to appoint a Compliance Manager to manage and maintain all compliance records and internal and external audits, including quality system control, and standardisation of quality policies and procedures, as well as, Healthy and Safety relating to the building, procedures and systems, and employees.
The successful candidate will be required to work 7.30-16.30 Monday to Friday with a 30-minute paid break. Additional hours and/ or weekends may be required during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of a Compliance Manager include, but are not limited to:
* Overall compliance management for the building, including both office and warehouse.
* Carbon Neutral – introduce, lead and implement processes and functions to help Carlton Packaging become more Carbon Neutral.
* Review, manage and implement the Pest Control processes, to ensure Carlton Packaging are following the correct procedures regularly.
* Contractor control – manage and oversee all the contractors, and any relevant processes.
* Health and Safety – managing and monitoring:
* Conduct Risk Assessments and log and review results.
* Manage First-Aid Training.
* Manage the Fire Alarms and Systems, including the weekly fire drill.
* Issue PPE and record results.
* Manage and log FLT Driver Training Records, and review as necessary.
* Manage and conduct Health and Safety Training and record.
* Conduct Health and Safety Induction for all New Starters.
* Conduct Workstation assessments for all New Starters.
* ISO Maintenance – manage and review, and liaise with external parties and stakeholders:
* Compliance Records.
* Training.
* Audits.
* FSC – manage and review, and liaise with external parties and stakeholders:
* Compliance Records.
* Training.
* Audits.
* BRC – lead BRC audits, manage, review, and liaise with external parties and stakeholders:
* Compliance Records.
* Training.
* Audits.
* CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) – manage and review, and liaise with external parties and stakeholders:
* Manage and Review as required to ensure industry and country standards are met, as well as, keeping up to date with environmental improvements.
* Review, manage, and implement the Waste and Recycling Company Development to ensure this is embedded in the business thoroughly.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Compliance Manager are:
Demonstrated experience with compliance risk management and/or quality assurance, including risk identification, evaluation, mitigation and management.
Previous experience managing health and safety for buildings and staff.
Previous experience from a similar industry may beneficial.
Knowledge of GDPR and laws and regulations.
Professional compliance related certification an advantage.
Professional Health and Safety related certification an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, business writing, presentation skills, and influencing skills.
Must be confident in stakeholder interactions.
Strong negotiation, facilitation and networking skills.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills including the ability to review, interpret and present data in a concise and precise manner.
Proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
