About the role

We are looking to recruit a hands-on individual responsible for managing Compliance across all areas of the business and activities including health and safety, transport and warehouse regulations, ensuring the operation is run safely, compliant and cost effectively.

The role requires someone who is not afraid to challenge current processes and has excellent communications skills at all levels to build strong relationships across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring employees carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively, efficiently, safely, and compliant.

Ensure drivers are compliant with Drivers Hours Regulations and vehicles are operated in accordance with DVSA regulations.

Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained in line with current legislation.

Ensure all vehicle walk around checks are carried out in line with current legislation and company procedures.

Ensure full compliance to the company’s Operators Licence.

Ensure full compliance with all legislation and company policies.

Carry our risk assessments.

Take responsibility and ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety and undergo training with drivers, warehouse operatives and support staff as required.

Implement and monitor working procedures to ensure high service levels and effective practises are maintained.

Experience and qualifications

Demonstrate experience at management level with full knowledge of all health & safety, warehouse, and transport legislation.

Able to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate at all levels with both customers and within the company.

Hold a National/International Transport Manager CPC
