About the role:
We are currently seeking a Works Planner to be responsible for the effective control and management of the dynamic appointment and workforce scheduling system (DRS) in relation to responsive repairs undertaken by the Internal Repairs Team.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Acting as the main point of contact for the Customer Service Team in relation to responsive repairs being undertaking by the IRT, managing the efficient and appropriate allocation of resources

Allocating repair appointments to appropriate operatives taking account of priority, material / plant requirements, location and existing workloads
*
Monitoring the progress of the emerging day workload and individual operatives daily diaries, rescheduling appointments and works as necessary
*
Taking action on the progress and scheduling of repairs due to bad weather, travel problems or priorities
*
Informing tenants of appointments and follow on works
*
Maintaining clear and up to date records
*
Assisting with the management and upkeep of the housing management system
*
Place orders for materials and plant
What we’re looking for:
● A good standard of general education
● Experience of using a dynamic appointment and workforce scheduling system ● Experience of arranging and planning works or services
● Customer service experience
● Knowledge of building terminology, domestic repairs and basic domestic amenities
● The ability to follow procedures and maintain clear and concise records ● The ability to give and receive clear instructions by telephone
● A high level of computer literacy
● Confident when dealing with people, sometimes in difficult situations
