Bletchley Park, a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations are seeking a Visitor Services Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis, 4 days per week on a rolling rota system working every other weekend.

As a Visitor Services Assistant at Bletchley Park, your responsibilities will include:
Performing your duties in a way which promotes and respects the Bletchley Parks Trust Mission statement.
Developing an understanding of our Internal and External customers and treat all visitors with respect and courtesy.
Developing your knowledge of the Bletchley Park stories, site and guest experience.
Complying with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Operating an admissions or retail till point when requested, to follow till procedures and customer service standards.
Meeting and greeting coach visitors to Bletchley Park.
Servicing the Multi-media Guide (MMG) counter.
Opening/closing the Teleprinter Building.
Other duties as requested by the management.
At Bletchley Park, we are looking for a Visitor Services Assistant who has the following skills and experiences:
Excellent inter-personal skills and a willingness to assist others.
The ability to work under pressure and with a smile.
The ability to stay calm and deliver visitor service with grace and friendliness when dealing with difficult situations, such as complaints.
Good spoken skills.
Good numeracy skills.
Enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude.
Adaptable and willing to learn new things.
Ability to work without supervision but also as part of a team.
Reliable, conscientious, honest, and dependable.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time.
Courteous and helpful with a customer focussed outlook.
Receptive and listens to others.
Shows initiative and is self-motivated.
A flexible and hands-on approach to work.
A knowledge of and interest in the Bletchley Park story and a willingness to promote the Trust’s mission.
In return, the Visitor Services Assistant at Bletchley Park will receive a salary of:
Under 18’s probation period £7.30/£7.50 per hour post probation
Over 18's probation period £9.30/£9.50 per hour post probation
Plus 33 days holiday (pro rata) including Bank Holidays, a pension scheme and a BUPA wellbeing cash plan.
