Sales & Transport Administrator

Job Type: Permanent

Full Time: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000

Location: Wymbush, Milton Keynes MK8

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our group sales team as a Sales and Transport Administrator on a Full Time Permanent Basis, based at our Milton Keynes Office.

As part of this role the successful candidate will have to:
– Generate and handle sales enquiries
– Handle all incoming enquiries courteously
– Facilitate customer bookings expeditiously
– Record all incoming enquiries in our transport management system
– Assist in the administration of jobs in our transport management system
– Monitor online enquiries and online booking requests
– Assist customers with access and use of our online customer portal
– Monitor service levels on shipments in progress
– Monitor KPI performance indicators for the group sales team
Proactively generate revenue for the group by converting as many enquiries into bookings as possible
– Establish and maintain good relationships with providers and customers to ensure continued business delivery
– Deliver a professional and prompt service at all times

Experience in sales administration, and shipping and/or logistics is essential. The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, have a good working knowledge of basic IT systems and a good team-based work ethic.
