Our client a national corporate financial firm are looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant to join their team in Milton Keynes. Occasional travel will be required to the other offices in Leicester, Coventry and London, with expenses paid. This role is currently a 12 months contract but will turn permanent for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities include:
Acts as the primary point of onsite contact, monitors and inspects the installation, maintenance, or repair work of internal/external personnel, contractors, or vendors and ensures safety regulations are followed.
Responsible for overseeing and managing the onsite 3rd party M&E contractor to deliver the company and industry standards in accordance with legislation and company policy.
Reporting any building service issues to the Facilities Manager and Building Services Facilities Manager with accurate information and solutions.
Demonstrates a skilled ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and fully understands preventative maintenance procedures with proficient knowledge of mechanical processes associated with particular types of facilities. Assists Facilities Manager and Building Services Facilities Manager in interpreting manuals, blueprints, technical diagrams, and other schematics.
Record and investigate safety and M&E related incidents to determine cause and coordinate as necessary to relevant departments
Oversee the life cycle of the critical operational plant to ensure maximum output and efficiency.
Support the Facilities Manager and Building Services Facilities Manager with input on the building services budget management.
Conducts Emerge Orientation with Site Tour to new hires covering Facilities House Rules, Physical Security and Safety.
Deliver excellent customer service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, H&S, welfare and corporate security functions.
Support the Facilities Manager with contractor and supplier management. Manage out-sourced service providers to ensure the service level agreements are administered accordingly.
Actively seeking opportunities to improve Facilities service delivery, make cost and environmental efficiencies and stay up to date with the latest Facilities and Mechanical industry news.
Be available to support out of hours onsite business functions and emergency calls (on a 24×7 basis), incidents/ emergency handling and report back to the Facilities manager.
Ideal candidates will have basic Electrical or Mechanical competency, preferably with a qualification and experience in a Building Services role. Experienced in a busy office environment and with good Health and Safety knowledge, IOSH desirable.
For this the client is looking to offer a Salary up to £30,000 per annum plus a generous benefits package and personal development plan.
