Customer Centre Assistant
Our clients, a leading supplier of processing and packaging equipment solutions for the food industry, are looking for a Customer Centre Assistant to joint their team based in Kingston, Milton Keynes.
This is a hands-on position is fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to progress and develop their current skill set, with a supportive and nurturing company that has gained recognition for its high-quality equipment, innovative engineering, and outstanding service and support.
Role Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday; with flexibility required to suit the needs of the business between 7am – 7pm.
Salary: £22,(Apply online only)k – £24,(Apply online only), dependent on experience, plus an excellent benefits package.

The role:
Varied role, but not volume production
Working alongside the sales team, within the Customer Demonstration Centre
Setting up machinery – approximately 25 different processing and packaging machines
Dismantling, cleaning, reassembling and repairing machinery
Dealing with ad hoc breakdowns and performing first fixes, as required
Changing settings on packaging machines to suit product requirements
Undergoing training to operate machinery in a purpose-built room
Operating food production and packaging machinery to demonstrate its functionality to clients
Involvement in testing and trials
Following instructions
Helping in stores during quieter periods and learning the different parts and where they are stored
Skills and Experience required:
A minimum of two years’ experience in a Food Production Operative role is essential
Experience in dismantling, cleaning, reassembling and repairing food production and food packaging machinery
Able to handle a variety of raw foods, such as meat, offal, flour and eggs
Willingness to get hands dirty
The ability and confidence to demonstrate the functionality of machinery to clients
Strong customer service skills and an approachable, friendly manner
Excellent communication skills
The willingness to learn new skills
An aptitude for engineering and hands-on work
The ability to follow instructions
Flexibility to work to suit the needs of the business
