Agria Pet Insurance has 2 fantastic opportunities for Claims Assessors to join our claims department based in Aylesbury. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £23,004 per annum plus benefits including discounts on Agria products for friends and family!
This role initially home-based, but when our offices re-open there will be the option to return to the office full-time or to continue to work from home with some fixed days in our Aylesbury office depending on business requirements.
To successfully work from home candidates must have an excellent home broadband connection in order to run our systems.

About the role:
As our Claims Assessor, you will ensure that all claims assessment is carried out accurately, on time, and to agreed service standards.
You will be required to work on a rotational shift pattern that covers the hours of 9am- 6pm, Monday to Friday. You may also be required to work Saturdays should the business need arise.
Responsibilities as our Claims Assessor will include:
– Accurately entering claims data onto our in-house system
– Validating and assessing a variety of claims across a range of products
– Ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Agria’s policy terms & conditions
– Researching and requesting missing information to expedite prompt claims assessment
– Composing/editing correspondence ensuring all documentation is professional and correct
– Ensuring that claims assessment service levels are adhered to
– Assessing and completing the pre-authorisation of claims
– Handling all calls efficiently and professionally to agreed service standards
– Providing and maintaining exemplary levels of customer service at all times
– Being fully conversant and adhering to company and departmental policies and procedures at all times
– Carrying out additional duties as requested by management to meet business requirements
– Attending training, meetings and company and departmental events
– Complying with Health and Safety policies and procedures
What we are looking for in our Claims Assessor:
– Ability to learn quickly and adapt to workplace changes
– Educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in Veterinary Nursing
– Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
– Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
– Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to demonstrate initiative
– Effective questioning and listening skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate and retain detailed information
– Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
– Excellent attention to detail
– Ability to build working relationships with all stakeholders and remain professional at all times
– Strong customer service skills
– Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
– Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
– Proven track record of meeting agreed performance targets
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Enthusiastic, flexible with the desire to succeed
