About Us
Waste King specialises in a wide range of waste collections and recycling services for both domestic & commercial customers including house clearances, garden clearance, garage clearance, skip hire, shop clearance & refurbishments, WEEE (waste electrical & electronic equipment) collections, office clearance & refurbishments, wait & load services, SWMP (site waste management plans) and confidential document destruction.

As the Business Development Executive your primary objective will be to drive sales within an existing account base. This will be done by using various methods that will allow you to forge excellent working relationships with your client base. You will be seen as a product, site, and people expert and use this as a reference point for customers wishing to continue to use Waste King in the future. To generate new accounts you will be required to take incoming leads from customer service and build your customer base.
Remuneration: £21,000 – £24,000 plus commission c.30% uncapped (OTE £27,000 – £30,000)
The Role:
* Qualify and follow up client enquiries
* Inbound and Outbound calls to existing customer service calls and new customers to explain our service
* Dealing with incoming leads and developing the lead to an account customer
* Visit strong leads to develop and delight the customer
* Targeted on developing new accounts and their growth within the business
* Achieve and exceed daily KPIs and performance metrics (calls, proposals, etc.)
* Build effective working relationships with a given client base to enable a smooth transition from a new business to an account-managed service
* Have a complete understanding of Waste King products and services to satisfy all customers’ needs and questions
* Work with finance to follow up on bad debt and payment enquiries
* Identify opportunities within the client base for further sales of unseen/ tried products
* Close sales and direct clients through the signup and implementation steps
* Liaise closely with the Customer Service & Development teams to ensure continued world-class user experience
* Liaising with our truck teams and helping to manage their schedules to increase performance
* Document sales trends and customer/prospect feedback and report back to management.
* Research opportunities and competition
* Ensuring accurate records and complete information all admin duties
* Support additional projects to improve overall sales team results
* Identify and foresee issues before the client brings them to us, which could prevent them from rebooking
Requirements
* Fluency in English and strong communication skills required
* Strong Outbound & Inbound Sales experience is essential
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Meet or exceed all published standards
* Enjoy working to daily, weekly and monthly targets while maintaining a positive attitude
* Creative approach to problem-solving
* Demonstrate a desire to make decisions, take ownership and make judgment calls
* Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism
* Self motivated, good team player and
* Technically adept, with experience using CRM applications
