Managing Director, Business Consultancy, Home Based. £67,000 Basic Salary + Bonuses and Share Options. This is an MD role with a small employee-owned leadership development consultancy that works on behalf of multinational organisations across Europe. The firm has staff in France, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. The client base is primarily corporate multinationals, where the consultancy's leadership methodologies form the cornerstones of their values and guiding principles.
The role requires a 'starter-finisher' that is probably an Operations or Project Delivery led Director with substantial commercial exposure and some interest in marketing. Alongside two Directors, you will be part of the senior leadership team. The existing Directors proactively want you to develop the business to the next level while they do what they do best, which is primarily 'Sales' and 'Consultancy Delivery'. Your role will be the bridge between sales, operations and finance, together with responsibility for strategy. In addition, you will project manage the software side of the business as they digitise their content into a SaaS platform to provide a residual income stream.
What's Needed:
* You will be tech and marketing savvy with the ability to drive strategic direction.
* Your experience will be from within a Consultancy-led business. You must have experience in dealing at C-Level with very large organisations.
* Your client contacts are typically top-tier management levels of the 500 largest companies in Europe. As such, a qualification, such as an MBA, could be useful to speak their 'language' and 'jargon'.
* You will be a proven 'hands on' people manager with solid experience in managing and driving multidisciplinary teams.
* You will be experienced in 'managing managers' to deliver a variety of targets to ensure all business growth targets are met.
* You will be a good people-person with a natural flair for getting the best out of teams and individuals
* You will have a robust strategic approach to taking a business forward and possess the credibility and gravitas to quickly gain the respect of already successful teams.
* You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking entrepreneurial leader that possesses a thirst for learning and continuous personal development.
* You will have a positive and proactive 'can do' attitude that passionately ensures that their strategy becomes a success.
* The role will involve occasional international travel to meet with clients and colleagues.
