The Company
This long established and successful UK based company is a Gold-accredited IBM Premier Business Partner which has amassed over 300 person years of experience implementing business critical EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) solutions across a range of industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, utilities, facilities management, transport, and power generation.
It specialises in providing consultancy services and support for the IBM Maximo EAM software products and maintains a pool of highly experienced and capable consultants fully conversant with IBM Maximo and its functionality, capabilities and opportunities for customisation to meet business needs.
The Position
Responsible for the overall management of the Professional Consulting Team and for the professional services delivery into client projects. Key areas that this role will have responsibility for include;
* Commercial
Manage the budget process and ensure target profitability on delivered services is met and contributes to the overall company budget
Manage the profitability of individual projects, working with project managers and account execs to ensure change is adequately recognised and charged
Deliver effective financial performance reporting (including YTD performance, project performance and forecasts for financial periods)
Manage the revenue and billing streams with clients and Project Managers to ensure a well-managed cashflow.
* Services Delivery Management
Work with Technical and Sales representatives to ensure the delivery methodology is relevant and contemporaneous and meets the needs of clients and the market for controlled yet agile delivery
Plan and efficiently utilise the company systems and infrastructure required to deliver projects
Manage and define the short- and medium-term resource allocations to different client and internal projects so that contentions are resolved, and client expectations are managed and set.
Measure and manage staff utilisation levels.
* Capability Management
Understand and drive the adoption of internal systems and infrastructure ensuring efficient usage, whilst mitigated risks associated with access to systems
Recruit new skills and talent as required to augment the existing talent pool, managing costs and skills carefully to ensure such changes maintain harmony with the existing staff
Manage all training and development within a set budget and matching forecast needs of products, projects and support.
* Customer Relations
Work at C-level with clients to establish clear relationships and escalations
Be an advocate on behalf of the customer, ensuring they are foremost in the minds of support, consultants and project managers when delivering services to them
Measure and monitor customer satisfaction levels by direct communication with clients, and by formal project performance reviews during and post project.
* Security
Contribute to and be an advocate for the IT and Information security policies and controls used to protect our own and our clients’ systems and data.
Measure adherence to security policies within project deliverables, ensuring risk and poor practice are identified and mitigated.
* Support
Collaborate with and plan resource usage with support to ensure 3rd line escalations are successfully managed through the incident and delivery process within the SLAs of our service contracts
Work in collaboration with Support to ensure clients receive exemplary service and support
* Quality and Testing
In collaboration with Technical Services, contribute to the measurement and auditing of delivery quality ensuring tangible measures are available to demonstrate delivery quality, both at a project level and sales collateral level.
* Sales and Marketing
Provide input and content to sales collateral to meet the sales campaign needs of the Sales department, working in collaboration with the Sales Manager to ensure such collateral aligns to account plan and marketing direction.
Create and support marketing collateral to support sales plays and sales campaigns.
The Candidate
As a potentially suitable candidate you will have a demonstrable track record in managing and motivating a diverse professional services organisation. Experienced consulting and service delivery within either Operations, Engineering or Technology sectors is preferred. You should have a strong commercial perspective, business awareness and accurate numeracy skills along with effective communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to influence peers and exec-level staff
