About the role:
They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Surveyor to join their team. The focus of this role will be to provide professional procurement and contractual advice to colleagues across the business.
Your day to day duties will include:
*
Assisting in specifying and preparing major repairs and improvements programmes.
*
Preparing specifications, schedules of works and AutoCAD drawings, allowing contract documentation to be put in place
*
Acting as Contract Administrator
*
Preparation of contract documents and contractor selection process
*
Liaising with the Project Managers
*
Arranging and attending monthly contract meetings
*
Providing feedback to the Contracts Manager
What they’re looking for:
*
Studying for professional qualification in surveying/building discipline or professionally qualified to HNC level minimum or equivalent or qualified by experience.
*
Demonstrable practical experience of the maintenance of a large amount of housing stock and of capital works to the same
*
Experience of preparing reports and monitoring programmes and budgets
*
Proven success in contract management
*
Good practical knowledge of building regulations, codes of practice, British standards etc
*
Ability to liaise effectively with staff, tenants and external contact, e.g. consultants and contractors
