Working Foreman – Civils

£35,000 – £40,000 + van, fuel card, laptop, phone

Milton Keynes

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established Cheshire based construction company who have secured at least 5 years’ worth of work in the Milton Keynes and surrounding Buckinghamshire areas. They are now looking to grow their team with a Working Foreman to head up a team of Skilled Operatives and lead on site works in an efficient and competent manner.

This is a great opportunity for long term permanent employment so they are looking for candidates to be based within an hour of the Milton Keynes area and will pay very competitively to secure the right individual. You will be given a company van, fuel card, laptop, and phone to support you in carrying out your duties in the most effective way. You will also be offered a genuine scope to progress into a Managerial role with support gaining further tickets also accessible to the right individuals. Although there are elements of supervisory and managerial work required for this role, you will need to be hands-on in supporting on site duties.

The work:

Projects will typically range in value from £50,000 to £250,000, and you will need to be competent in the installation of the following:

* Rising and fixed bollards

* Fencing

* CCTV Infrastructure

* Access and egress control measures

* Concrete hard stands

* Road and path construction

* Drainage

* Utilities

Duties:

* Complying to CDM requirements

* Managing construction teams

* Working to construction drawings

* Manage works from inception to completion

* Manage and control the working site

* Report timely and effectively to senior management

Required:

* Experience and Qualified as a Site Supervisor or Site Manager

* Experience complying to CDM requirements

* Experienced in groundworks / Civil Engineering

* Hold in date competencies to operate a range of plant including:

* Excavator

* Dumper

* Roller

* Telehandler

* You will also need to be experienced in:

* Reading construction drawings

* Excavating trenches

* Installing drainage and utility ducting

* Installing kerbs

* Laying concrete and tarmac.

* Security cleared
