About The Role

We’re looking to recruit a Utilities Process and Connection Coordinator to join the Utilities team in Milton Keynes. You’ll be responsible for the preconstruction organisation of connections to Construction compounds in alignment with the Construction teams requirements to time, quality and budget.
We’d like you to liaise closely with the Designer, Design Manager, Statutory Undertaker, Construction team stakeholders and HS2 on the delivery of Utility Designs.
You will need to ensure that whilst the Detailed Contestable Utility Designs are being produced, EKFB have all of the required paperwork. You must also integrate within the proposal all aspects of the allocated Contestable utility scope.
You’ll be responsible for the effective distribution of this information and recording in the most efficient manner to ensure the programmed dates are achieved and monitor with the Utilities Planner.
We’d like you to lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, recording, writing and communicating actions and key points to update on such progress. You must also ensure that the C4 Formal Quotation is signed and returned to the Statutory Undertaker to initiate Construction. Liaise with the Commercial Manager to commence payment.
You’ll need to work with the Commercial Manager through the C5 and C6 process to ensure the Statutory Undertaker retained works can commence and ultimately work through to final account sign off.
Work collaboratively with the Utilities Construction Managers to provide visibility on Construction availability and the adoption / handover procedure with the Statutory Undertakers.
You’ll need to identify General Communication and Early Warnings to mitigate risks, issues and enable the realisation of opportunities.
Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and support and comply with all organizational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
About The Candidate
We need someone with a Degree level qualification in either Project Management, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or the equivalent experience.
You must have experience of preconstruction delivery of utility projects with Statutory Undertakers, in the power, water, gas, fuel or telecoms environment.
You must also have knowledge of New Road Street Works Act, HAUC, HS2 Act, Self Lay Process, Assurance and PPA. We’d also like you to have knowledge of the CDM Principal Designer role.
You must have excellent communication skills.
