Our client who work within the Glazing industry are looking to recruit a Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor based from either their Central London office or Buckinghamshire Head Office.

You will be given full training and support within the commericial department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES whilst learning alongside an experienced QS:

1.Obtain all cost information including estimating data and any quotations used in the tender

2.Start up a financial file.

3.Obtain and agree procurement schedule.

4.Establish valuation dates with client.

5.Raise draft invoices to accounts department.

6Produce projected sales forecast when the valuation dates are known

7Set up valuation format based around the tender document.

8.Submit valuations to the client in accordance with the valuation dates.

9.Obtain payment certificate.

10.Ensure accounts raise an invoice.

11.Place sub contract orders.

12.Submit cost value reconciliations to the Commercial Director on a monthly basis.

13 Submit/agree final account

14.Instructions to be obtained for all variations.

15.Significant problems on the project to be reported complete problem repon.

16.Attend regular internal contract review meetings.

17.Attend regular external client meetings to agree accounts

18.Value all variations and submit to the client.

19.Instruct sub-contracts for variations obtain a quotation where possible.

20.Raise sub-contract payments.

21.Agree final accounts with sub contractors.

22 Visit site regularly

23.Chase and obtain final retention releases.

24.Ensure that all documents received externally are published to the relevant sections in OSCA.( Central Database)

25.Ensure that all financial sections in OSCA that are to be completed are kept up to date with live information.

26 Tender materials and labour in line with construction programmes

27.Place orders for all materials as per fabrication drawings once reviewed and packaged to the correct supplier.

28.Review buying gains and track against estimated costs.

The ideal candidate will be a Graduate looking to pursue their career as a Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity. Salaries are dependent upon level of experience
