About The Role
EKFB are looking to recruit a Technical Assurance Engineer to join the HS2 JV. You’ll be required to support the Design and Engineering (D&E) Manager in managing and performing Technical Assurance, during the Design delivery stage.
You will be responsible for providing support to the EKFB D&E Manager and the Designer to follow and implement the Assurance Regime in accordance with the Engineering and Assurance Plan.
We’d also like you to support the Design and Engineering team in implementing the technical assurance processes, considering statutory, regulatory, contractual and prudent industry best practice in managing the activities of the associated delivery.
It is your responsibility to document and promote the use of assurance procedures by the Engineering and Assurance team and the Designers.
Confirming through review of self-certification activities and the subsequent provision of evidence that the technical assurance process has been progressed and complied satisfactorily by the Designer prior to submission to the Client.
Close liaison with the Design and Engineering Manager to develop a certification strategy to support the Works and provide guidance on the alignment of assurance deliverables with the Client’s requirements. We would like you to support the delivery of the Design in accordance with the Programme. Facilitate Assurance & Certification training workshops with the Design and Engineering Team, and supply chain, as required.
Finally, work collaboratively with delivery team to ensure readiness for the Completions Process.
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in Database administration and use
IT Skills – Knowledge of MS Office
Good communication skills
Ability to manage own workload
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
Experience working in large infrastructure projects
Previous experience in progressive assurance and self-certification
