Street Lighting Manager
Full Time, Permanent
Package – £45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus 12.5%
Location – Milton Keynes, MK6 1LY
Working from home during Covid-19 however will be required to complete site visits across Milton Keynes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with proven experience at managing street lighting installation and maintenance projects on a framework contract. The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of the agreed Annual Plan which sets out a programme of both revenue-based street lighting reactive and routine maintenance works and capital funded street lighting improvements. They will also be responsible for the development of third party works, including the identification of potential clients, understanding their needs and the development of solutions. The successful candidate will have proven experience within street lighting including the supervision of a large street lighting team. They will comply with street lighting compliance schemes (Highways Electrical Registration Scheme and Electrical Inspection Schemes) and have the relevant certifications needed to deliver this position.
The successful candidate will have;
Proven knowledge within Street Lighting
City & Guilds electrical installation and testing qualifications
A working knowledge of all lighting related standards and codes of practices (ie) BS7671 and BS 5489
A good understanding of NEC, target V's defined cost, pain V's gain share, achieving both internal and external KPI's
Previous experience managing turnover of circa £3 million
Highways Electrical Registration Scheme Authorising Officer
Full UK Driver's Licence (no more than 6 points)You would be responsible for;
Managing the Street Lighting team, assisting with client, design and delivery functions
Managing the installation and maintenance requirements of circa 70,000 street lighting assets
Management and understanding of costs through the cost capture system
Providing advice on the strategic investment requirements
Ensuring that all works are delivered in accordance to industry legislation, codes and practices and H&S policies
Managing all HR matters in conjunction with the team
