Soft Landscaping, Site Supervisor

Salary £28,000 to £35,000

You will be joining a hugely successful and multi award winning Landscaping Contractor, in a pivotal role, taking responsibility for large soft landscaping projects. The company have a significant order book for 2022 and are looking for a Supervisor to take responsibility for large sites that involve substantial planting schemes. You will need to maintain a clear understanding of the drawings and specification, provide the client with a dedicated site presence and manage both in-house and sub-contract teams to ensure that the works are completed on time and to specification.

The Job:

The Supervisor will take responsibility for managing consecutive sites in the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. You will have responsibility for all aspects of the site operation and the management of the workforce and work together with landscape architects and main contractors to deliver significant landscaping schemes.

* Using Plans and Planting Diagrams to accurately create Landscaping schemes

* Your plant and general horticultural knowledge will enable you to identify problems and devise solutions.

* Liaising with Clients and the Office to report progress

* Motivating the workforce and organising each day’s work scheduling.

* Ensure all stock is available for each site on a daily basis, organising call-offs and deliveries to ensure completion dates are met

* Produce Risk Assessments, RAMS and ensure PPE is available.

* Maintain a good client relationship, dealing with the Client needs and resourcing them adequately

* Making sure that all tools and equipment are well maintained, clean and serviceable

The Person:

You will have previous supervisory experience in a landscaping role and have good communication skills. Importantly you will be hardworking with good attention to detail, diplomatic and calm with clients.

* Hold licences for digger, dumper and possibly forklift

* Be used to working with Construction Drawings and Planting Diagrams.

* Highly organised and professional in approach with a keen eye for detail

* Assertive and proactive in thinking and approach, Robust, committed and commercially minded

Qualifications:

* CSCS / CPCS

* SSSTS/SMSTS
