Site Engineer

50k PAYE – KIT provided + excellent benefits

Bedford and Northampton

A great opportunity to join a Tier One contractor who specialise in delivering Industrial, Logistics and Retail Park projects on a national scale is immediately available. This is a site-based role reporting to the Project Manager; the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Engineering on a busy site working on projects varying in value in excess of £30m. Ideally, you will be happy to travel between Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sorting out initial setting out on sites * Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy * Carry out as-built surveys * Following method statements * Experience on RC Frame structures and groundwork's a strong advantage * Input into site Health & Safety * Overseeing the selection of materials * Attending regular meetings with site teams * Mentoring of Assistant Engineers * Inputs into site meetings

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

An industry applicable ONC/HNC B Eng, NVQ or equivalent experience * Good all-round knowledge of multiple processes. * Computer literate with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD * You will be able to demonstrate a high level of construction knowledge * You will be an ambitious individual, take pride in what you produce, have good communication, organisation and leadership skills
