A national Approved Inspector and Warranty Provider seeks a Senior Warranty Standards Surveyor to keep abreast of emerging standards in the industry and to improve current standards by examining past claims. The position would suit a surveyor with extensive latent defects experience including claims. Starting salary up to £70,000.

The home-based role will support the Warranty Standards Manager in developing standards and contributing to company technical manuals.

Senior Warranty Standards Surveyor responsibilities

Research and provide updates on changes within the industry and legislation to ensure the technical manual is up to date.
Review past and current claim reports to identify any shortfalls or further guidance required within the Technical manual with the aim of reducing the potential of future claims.
Investigate standards emerging to ensure an early understanding of risk and potential involvement with the BSI, BBA and BDA.
Provide guidance for the technical referral process.
Give feedback across departments identifying referral trends and opportunities for improvement.
Create and develop knowledge management articles to complement the functional requirements of the technical manual.
Create coherent warranty checklists for surveyor and customer use.
Contribute material on technical standards for both internal and external presentations.
Provide technical analysis of competitor activity.Senior Warranty Standards Surveyor requirements

Qualified Surveyor / Engineer (MRICS, MCIOB, MCABE or MIStructE)
Existing latent defect experience
Proven experience of producing data analysis
In-depth technical knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant construction standards.
Ability to undertake site inspections to assess both quality and the cause/effect of building defects
Commercial awareness
Experience of Relationship Management
